The following photos of Jose were taken during his trip to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 1994. This was "the most powerful event ever" in Jose's life, as he witnessed many of his own countrymen fighting for freedom. Jose and some of his friends took more than 10 tons of toys to the refugees in Guantanamo and Panama:
